This particular variety of popotoes are known as the Dunesfolk and are very hardy, their eyes have evolved a glassy surface to shield them from the harsh sun.

On a whim to practice motion and coloring, I drew a more detailed picture of Silas running in his Glacial Coat.
Forgot to take a picture prior to sketching in his clothes so no base sketch.

Whew, not as much smudging as I had anticipated. The new Pentel Oh!Gel pen and Signo Uni-Ball Micro are wonderful.
The ink has dried so it's time to erase the sketch. Unfortunately the pens aren't as fine pointed as a pencil tip and stray from the original drawing, having an inconsistent flow of ink doesn't help, but these pens are still better than most instruments that don't dip into the expensive high-end artistic instrument pool.
Hopefully I'll be able to get finer steady flow pens in the future.

| Done! Well, sort of. |
Used the Tombow Dual Brush Pen Set, I like its ability to blend but I need to buy a more water-durable paper. Regular sketchbook paper can't withstand the rubbing on top of being bathed in fluid.
Thankfully it didn't show up but the paper began tearing where I had used too much paint on his hair.
Furthermore I could only lay down so many colors at once due to bleeding, which you can see along some of the edges. I'll need to go over the painting again to bring out stronger colors, accents, and details.
Not too bad, wonderful specimens if I do say so myself.
