Esprit de la Plume is a story that I've been spinning up in the past 4 years after the light played a visual trick and startled me into thinking something on my paper had moved. Been vacillating between continuing or dropping this story. Sometimes one has to wonder whether the only one interested is they themselves. That goes for all my stories.
Summary: Meek little Lucy (Lillian) comes from a Family of Artisans. As such, her often busy Parents leave her much Time to herself, and so she begins drawing to pass the Time. When her drawing moves and talks back, she thinks nothing of it, if anything, is more than pleased with the addition of a friend. Upon entering her academic years, she is eager to talk with others and share her already made friend. But others, even her one and only closest friend, lack of belief in her animated drawings lead her to become a meek and reserved child in search of praise and acknowledgement. When finally, a street urchin, Husher, sees and believes, she can hardly let go of the chance to prove herself to another. But Husher will have none of it and wants nothing to do with what he believes to be witchcraft. Between the choices, Lucy pursues a believer, but as Life would have it, nothing is ever that easy. Husher’s distrust as well as the townspeople’s disbelief would ensure it.
A/N: I'll post up pictures of the two later, along with their character profile. I haven't drawn them since 2012 and I cringe to see my art from before.
